Asia Cup 2023: KL Rahul to miss first two games

Indian opener KL Rahul will be registering his absence in the first two matches of the Asia Cup 2023 which is set to start from 30th August in Multan. The first match of the tournament will be played between Pakistan and Nepal as Asia Cup 2023 will be played in hybrid model this year. Team India will start their Asia Cup campaign with the match against Pakistan on September 2nd in Pallekele. KL Rahul had recently been included into India’s Asia Cup 2023 after he made his recovery from injury which he suffered during (IPL 2023).

“KL Rahul has had a good week with us, playing well, progressing really well but he will be unavailable for the first part for the Kandy leg of the trip,” Rahul Dravid said during the press conference.

“The NCA will be looking after him for the next few days while we are traveling. We will reassess on the 4th (September) and take it from there. But signs are looking good. He will be unavailable for the first two games,” said Dravid.
