Marsh and Co eye series whitewash against South Africa
After getting to their thumping victory in the second T20I on Friday, Australia successfully managed to clinch the three-match T20I series 2-0 as they had also registered their victory in the first match as well. Australia have been coming up with powerful performances in both batting and bowling department. Australia and South Africa will face each other in the third and final game on Sunday. in Durban. Talking about the second match on Friday, Australia had witnessed the powerful performances from Matthew Short and Mitchell Marsh who both hammered (66) and (79) respectively to take the team over the line. Earlier, Australia had won the toss and decided to bowl with South Africa batters Aiden Markram and Temba Bavuma being the top-scorer with (35) and (49) respectively. South Africa managed to get (164) after losing (8) wickets in (20) overs.
Chasing the target, Australia started well with Matt Short who scored (66) while Travis Head went cheaply with his score of (18). But, in-form Mitchell Marsh made big impression with his 79-run knock to take the team over the line. Heading into the third match, Australia would hope to complete the series whitewash. On the other hand, South Africa would hope to register their consolation win after having suffered two back-to-back defeats.
