SA vs AUS 2nd ODI: Huge win for Australia, beat South Africa to take 2-0 lead
Century-laden knocks from Warner and Labuschagne helped Australia beat South Africa by (123) runs in the second odi to take 2-0 lead in the five-match series on Saturday at Mangaung Oval. Invited to bat, Australia’s attacking opener David Warner found his rhythm to play a convincing knock of (106) alongside Travis Head (64) to give the team a dominating start. In the middle-order, Marnus Labuschagne and Josh Inglis scored (124) and (50) to propel the side to the total of 392/8 in 50 overs.
Chasing the target of (393), South Africa got off to a flying start with Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma coming up with their scores of (45) and (46) respectively but after their wickets South Africa found themselves in trouble with middle-order batters Rassie van der Dussen and Aiden Markram losing their wickets after scoring (17) and (3) respectively. Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller tried to yank the team out of trouble with their scores of (49) and (49) respectively but they too lost their wickets. In the lower-order, South Africa kept losing wickets which resulted in 123-run loss for them.
