Kuldeep Yadav shines as India record a joyous victory over Sri Lanka, get to final

Indian spinner Kuldeep Yadav finished things off for India in another superbly fascinating victory in the ongoing Asia Cup 2023 as India beat Sri Lanka by (41) runs in the Super Four match on Tuesday at R. Premadasa Stadium. Yadav returned with four wickets to restrict Sri Lanka to the total of (172) in (41.3) overs in their chase of 213-run total set by India. Earlier, India had decided to bat after winning the toss with Rohit Sharma (53) again coming up with his half-century to hand India a perfect start. Kl Rahul and Ishan Kishan also gave boost with their scores of (39) and (33) respectively to take the team to the total of (213) in (49.1) overs.
India's batting order had collapsed quite early with Sri Lankan spinners Dunith Wellalage and Charith Asalanka returning with (5) and (4) wickets respectively. Chasing the total, Sri Lanka's top order failed to make any impact as their top four batters fell with the low scores. Dhananjaya de Silva and Dunith Wellalage gave Sri Lanka hope with their partnership but after the wicket of de Silva, Sri Lanka lost their remaining wickets in quick succession, thus losing the match by (41) runs.
