ENG vs NZ 3rd ODI: New Zealand hope to do well against confident England

After having levelled the series 1-1, England and New Zealand will once again be getting into action in the third ODI of the four-match series on Wednesday at Kennington Oval. It will be the match that will be crucial for both teams to take the 2-1 lead in the series. In the second ODI, England had registered 79-run victory (DLS) as the match had been reduced to 34 overs due to rainfall. Liam Livingstone remained the warrior for England with his 95-run knock. 

New Zealand, on the other hand, were quite lethargic in their batting as they were toppled for (147) in their chase of (226) handed by England. Daryl Mitchell had shown some nerve by hammering (57) but that wasn’t enough for New Zealand to get to win. In the bowling department for England, David Willey and Reece Topley returned with three wickets each while Moeen Ali and Gut Atkinson claimed two and one wicket respectively. Going into this match, England would hope to keep the momentum going to bring their dominance over New Zealand. It will too be important for both teams to get their combinations correct keeping in mind the upcoming ODI World Cup.
