Afghanistan name their World Cup squad
Afghanistan have announced their 15-member squad for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 that is all set to get underway from October (5) in India. With the announcement of the squad, there has been return for Naveen-ul-Haq to the proceedings. It’s been almost two years for Naveen to have been away from action for Afghanistan. Hashmatullah Shahidi will be leading Afghanistan’s squad with Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Mohammad Nabi in the squad.
The spin duo of Rashid Khan and Noor Ahmad are also featuring in the squad. Presence of experienced Mohammad Nabi will add more touch to Afghanistan’s squad. Time and again Nabi has been the match winner for Afghanistan. Azmatullah Omazai also returns to the squad after missing the Asia Cup due to injury. Afghanistan’s squad is the combination of great talent.
