Both batters took on Australian bowlers to smash them all over the ground. Both batters drove South Africa to the mammoth total of 416/5 in (50) overs. This is also South Africa's seventh ODI total exceeding 400. What garnered the attention was the top-notch batting led by explosive batter Heinrich Klaasen who scored 174 off 83 deliveries.
