BAN vs NZ 1st ODI: Bangladesh and New Zealand get into World Cup preparation with the ODI series

New Zealand are touring Bangladesh for the three-match ODI series which is scheduled to commence from 21st September with the first match at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium. Both teams are getting into the three-match series at a very crucial juncture as ODI World Cup is approaching fast and they would want to take this opportunity to amplify their performance heading into the World Cup. Bangladesh have decided to rest their senior players for this series keeping in mind the ODI World Cup. Regular skipper Shakib-al-Hasan has been rested. In Shakib’s absence, Litton Das will be leading Bangladesh in the presence of Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar and Mahmudullah. 

For New Zealand, Lockie Ferguson will be leading them in the presence of Finn Allen, Will Young and Tom Blundell. They have quite balanced side as they too have decided to rest their few players. New Zealand’s bowling attack comprises of big names like Trent Boult, Kyle Jamison and Ish Sodhi. New Zealand are already going through tough times with the injuries to their crucial players Kane Williamson and Tim Southee.
