South Africa pacers Sisanda Magala and Anrich Nortje ruled out of ODI World Cup with injuries

South Africa have made the confirmation regarding the ruling out of their pace duo Sisanda Magala and Anrich Nortje who both are going through injuries and wouldn’t be able to make recovery on time for the World Cup. Their ruling out is coming as a huge blow to South Africa heading into the ODI World Cup. Anrich has been going through back injury that has given him tough times as he also missed the few matches of the recently concluded ODI series against Australia.
In the five-match series, Nortje could only play one match completely. In the second ODI, he could only bowl five overs as he could not continue due to back issue. On the other hand, Sisanda Magala’s knee injury has given him hard times as he too doesn’t seem to be making complete recover as of now. Magala had only played third ODI against Australia where he just bowled four overs. With Sisanda Magala and Anrich Nortje out of the contention, South Africa have brought in Andile Phehlukwayo and Lizaad Williams as replacement for both of them respectively.
