“There is no major damage”: Rohit Sharma’s update on Hardik Pandya’s injury

After having secured victory over Bangladesh in their fourth match of the World Cup on Thursday , India will be delighted but at the same time they will also be anxious about Hardik Pandya’s injury which he picked up during India’s match against Bangladesh. Hardik Pandya possesses best skills and he is one the influential factors in India’s success. Pandya picked up injury during the ninth over as he tried to stop a shot from Litton Das but he slipped during the process which resulted in his discomfort. Still, Pandya tried whether he was able to bowl but he was unable to make a smooth walk following which he had left the field. Remaining balls from Pandya’s over were completed by Virat Kohli. Meanwhile, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has provided an update on Pandya's fitness.
“He pulled up a bit sore. There is no major damage, that is good for us. But honestly, with an injury like that, we have got to assess every day. So, we just hope that he pulls up well tomorrow morning and then we’ll assess whatever is required for us to do as a team, we’ll do that,” Rohit Sharma said during the post-match presentation.
Touching upon the match, India had maintained their rhythm to thrash Bangladesh by (7) wickets. There were major performances from Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in the batting department as the trio scored (53), (48) and (103*) respectively to help the team chase down the total of (257) in (41.3) overs. Bangladesh had decided to bat after winning the toss as they scored (256) in (50) overs after losing (8) wickets.
