On Thursday, New Zealand defeated Sri Lanka by five wickets where Rachin Ravindra contributed with his 42-run knock. With the help of his knock against Sri Lanka, Rachin Ravindra recorded some encouraging records. Rachin Ravindra has now become the only debutant player to have most runs in a maiden World Cup edition. To achieve this record, Rachin Ravindra has overtaken England’s Jonny Bairstow who created this record in World Cup 2019 with his (532) runs. R Ravindra has gone past 550-mark in the ongoing World Cup. Ravindra also broke legendary Sachin Tendulkar's record of scoring most runs before turning 25. Tendulkar created the record in (1996) with his (523) runs.
