SA-W vs BAN-W 2nd T20I: Bangladesh hope to create a resounding impact after first win

South Africa Women and Bangladesh Women will lock horns in the second T20I match of the three-match series on Wednesday at Diamond Oval in Kimberley. Bangladesh Women had stunned South Africa Women with their thirteen-run win in the first match. In the first game, Bangladesh Women successfully defended the total of (149) with Shorna Akter claiming her maiden five-wicket haul. This was also for the second time that Bangladesh Women beat South Africa Women over the past 12 matches. Looking at the first match, Bangladesh Women had decided to bat after winning the toss with Murshida Khatun hammering (62) runs. Nigar Sultana and Shamima Sultana also made their key contributions with their scores of (34) and (24) runs respectively to take the team to (149). Chasing the total, South Africa Women were off to a bright start with Anneke Bosch and Tazmin Brits scoring (67) and (30) runs respectively, but top-notch bowling from Shorna Akter spoiled South Africa’s great start. At one point, South Africa were 123 for 3 but, within the space of 13 runs they lost five of their batters to become 136 for 8. Going into this game, South Africa Women will be looking forward to making their way back into the series to level it 1-1.
