WI vs ENG 2nd T20I: Buttler has a lot to reckon with as England aim for recovery
It’s not been an ideal start for England to their West Indies tour after their heavy defeats in the past games. England earlier, lost their three-match ODI series 1-2, and now they have lost first game of the five-match T20I series. Both teams are now building up to play the second T20I match that is scheduled to be played on December 14 at National Cricket Stadium in Grenada. Both teams enter the 2nd T20I with a point to prove. England, under the leadership of Jos Buttler, boast a formidable lineup of T20 specialists, but they will have to get back to winning ways to prove themselves. However, England is a force to be reckoned with in the shortest format of the game, but that hasn’t happened with the champions of the T20Is. England are the defending champions after clinching the T20I World Cup title last season and it would be of utmost importance for Jos Buttler's side to get themselves back into rhythm ahead of the T20I World Cup 2024. West Indies, on the other hand, renowned for their T20 prowess, will hope to continue with their dominance at home. Led by the strong Rovman Powell, West Indies team possess a blend of seasoned campaigners in the form of Andre Russell, Shai Hope and Nicholas Pooran among others. All of the players are capable of turning the game in their favour at any moment. The match is scheduled to start at 11 PM (IST).
West Indies Probable XI: Brandon King, Kyle Mayers, Shai Hope, Nicholas Pooran (wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell (c), Andre Russell, Romario Shepherd, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph
England Probable XI: Jos Buttler (c&wk), Philip Salt, Will Jacks, Ben Duckett, Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran, Chris Woakes, Rehan Ahmed, Adil Rashid, Tymal Mills
