Hasaranga return as Sri Lanka name squad for Zimbabwe series
Sri Lanka’s all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga is all set to make his much anticipated return to the team after Sri Lanka named their prelimarys squads for the upcoming T20I and ODI series against Zimbabwe at home beginning from 6th January. Wanindu Hsaranga will be leading Sri Lanka in the T20Is with Charith Asalanka being appointed vice-captain to him. In the ODIs, Sri Lanka will be led by Kusal Mendis with Asalanka being the deputy in ODIs as well.
Hasaranga has been out of action since August due to injury that he sustained during the Lanka Premier League. With the injury, Hasarana missed the major tournaments for the team in Asia Cup and ODI World Cup. Sri Lanka will be playing Zimbabwe in the three-match T20I series and as many ODI series.
