IND vs AFG 3rd T20I: India aim series sweep against uncertain Afghanistan, pitch report, playing XI

Having already pummelled Afghanistan in the first two games to secure the series victory, India will cross their paths against Afghanistan in the third and final T20I on Wednesday at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. India’s commanding victories in the past two games have put Afghanistan on the back foot, leaving no chance for them to get back into the series. With India already leading the series 2-0, the upcoming encounter promises to be a riveting contest.
In the preceding two T20Is, India’s young guns showcased their batting prowess, bringing comprehensive victories and asserting their dominance ahead of the T20I World Cup 2024. The first match witnessed a brilliant display of batting firepower from all-rounder Shivam Dube, who racked up 60 off 40 unbeaten to get the team their victory.
The second encounter witnessed another stellar performance from young stars Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shivam Dube who both got together with their scores of (68) and (63*) respectively to help India chase the total of 172, thus helping the team in their 6-wicket win. India bowlers also did a massive job with the ball, restricting Afghanistan to a modest total in both the innings.
For Afghanistan, they have witnessed beautiful performances from Mohammad Nabi, Gulbadin Naib and Najibullah Zadran, but consistency has been the bigger issue for Afghanistan. They are already devoid of the service from Rashid Khan who is sitting out due to injury. Collective efforts will be crucial for Afghanistan in their chances of pulling off a win to end the series on a high note.
Pitch report
Pitch at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium is incredibly batting friendly duo to it having flat pitch and smaller boundaries. Team winning the toss would opt to bowl, preferring chasing.
India Probable XI: Rohit Sharma (c), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Shivam Dube, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Rinku Singh, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh, Mukesh Kumar
Afghanistan Probable XI: Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Ibrahim Zadran (c), Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi, Najibullah Zadran, Karim Janat, Gulbadin Naib, Noor Ahmad, Fazalhaq Farooqi, Naveen-ul-Haq, Mujeeb Ur Rahman
