Hammering his second Test hundred, Indian batter Yashasvi Jaiswal powered India to a commanding position on day one of the second Test match against England on Friday in Visakhapatnam. Jaiswal finished the day one with an unbeaten score of (179) as India bask under the crispy knock played by him.

England’s young spinner Shoaib Bashir demonstrated his spin prowess upon his Test debut to dismiss Indian skipper Rohit Sharma for the score of (14), soon after being asked by skipper Stokes to perform the duty.
A little later after Rohit’s departure, James Anderson removed Shubman Gill to bring India two down. At lunch, India were 103/2 with Jaiswal and Iyer unbeaten on (51) and (4) respectively. Post lunch, India kept losing their wickets at regular intervals, but Jaiswal kept India's scoreboard ticking.
Bashir missed the first Test due to visa complications, but having been cleared to fly, Bashir has made his instant mark after featuring in the second game.
Earlier, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat as they introduced new faces for the second Test. India handed debut to Rajat Patidar while the wait for Sarfarz Khan continues to make his Test debut. Mukesh Kumar was brought in for Mohammed Siraj.
