NZ vs AUS 1st T20I: M Marsh, T David pull it through for Australia

Pulling off a classy 6-wicket victory for Australia, Mitchell Marsh and Tim David played masterclass knocks of 72 off 44 and 25 off 11 respectively to help Australia edge out New Zealand in the high-scoring first T20I on Wednesday at Wellington Regional Stadium. It came as an enormous win for Australia with Marsh and David holding their nerve to take the team home.
Tim David’s heroic delivered a last-ball victory for Australia after he put veteran Tim Southee for a boundary off the last ball to go past the target.
Earlier, deciding to bat after winning the toss, New Zealand posted a gigantic total of 215/3 in (20) overs with the help of outstanding 113-run stand between Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra. Putting up a huge second-wicket partnership, Devon Conway and Rachin Ravindra scored (63) and (68) respectively.
In their pursuit, Australia had a half-hearted start with Travis Head and David Warner scoring (24) and (32) respectively. However, Mitchell Marsh put the things in order with his explosive shots. Mitchell Marsh alongside young Tim David guided Australia across the line with their unerring knocks.
