Lahore Qalandars and Islamabad United will be crossing the swords in the 23rd match of the ongoing Pakistan Super League on Wednesday at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium. It has been a disastrous campaign for Lahore Qalandras who are yet to win a game in the ongoing tournament. Qalandars have recorded six successive defeats, ravaging their all chances to make it to the playoffs.

They are sitting at the bottom in the points table with six defeats out of seven matches. Their last match against Peshawar Zalmi was abandoned due to rain. Heading into this match, they would hope to open their victory account to gather little consolation being the defending champions.

Islamabad United, on the other side, will get into this match on the back of their victory against Peshawar Zalmi in their last game. They thrashed the Babar led team by 29 runs to roar back into the tournament. Islamabad United are on the fourth place in the points table with three victories and three defeats from seven games. They are carrying 7 points and the positive NRR of +0.337.

Skipper Shadab Khan will be the key for the team after his heroic 80-run knock in the last game. Moreover, Islamabad United will look to continue with their winning momentum to advance in the points table. For Qalandars, Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan and Rassie van der Dussen will be crucial.

Islamabad United Probable XI: Colin Munro, Alex Hales, Agha Salman, Shadab Khan (c), Azam Khan (wk), Imad Wasim, Jordan Cox, Faheem Ashraf, Hunain Shah, Naseem Shah, Rumman Raees

Lahore Qalandars Probable XI: Fakhar Zaman, Sahibzada Farhan (wk), Rassie van der Dussen, Kamran Ghulam, Sikandar Raza, George Linde, Carlos Brathwaite, Jahandad Khan, Shaheen Afridi (c), Salman Fayyaz, Zaman Khan
