Hasaranga comes out of Test retirement, added to SL’s squad for Bangladesh Test

Sri Lanka have named their squad for the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh starting from 22nd March with the first game at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
Sri Lanka’s spin sensation Wanindu Hasaranga has been added to the squad after he came out of the Test retirement. Hasaranga announced his Test retirement in August 2023 in order to put his complete focus on white-ball cricket.
Hasaranga’s participation into the Test squad will hamper his participation at the Indian Premier League where he is scheduled to play for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Hasaranga was acquired by Sunrisers Hyderabad for his base price of INR 1.5 crore. The two-match Test series is scheduled to be played between 22nd March and April 3.
