IPL 2024: David Willey pulls out of IPL, LSG name Matt Henry as replacement

Lucknow Super Giants’ bowler David Willey has withdrawn from the Indian Premier League 2024 due to personal reasons. In the wake of David Willey’s decision, Lucknow Super Giants have roped in New Zealand bowler Matt Henry as the replacement for Willey.
LSG had bought David Willey at his base price of INR 2 crore during the last year’s auction in Dubai in December. Earlier, Willey was with Royal Challengers Bengaluru for two seasons.
Henry has been bought by LSG at his base price of INR 1.25 crore. Matt Henry has been in good rhythm and joins LSG on the back of some action as he featured for New Zealand in Test series against South Africa and Australia.
