IPL 2024: Eyes on Starc as flourishing KKR look for a thriving outcome

News

In the last two games, Kolkata Knight Riders’ bowler and most expensive player in the history of IPL Mitchell Starc has gone wicketless, but Vizag could be the platform for Starc to repay the faith as KKR take on Delhi Capitals on Wednesday. Starc’s spell hasn’t been able to make any impact nor has it been able to exert pressure on opposition. In his eight overs so far, Starc has gone for 100 runs without any wicket.

However, these are the early days to make any judgement on world’s one of the most exceptional bowlers. Meanwhile, Kolkata Knight Riders have made it two from two, winning their last two games.

KKR’s last game was against RCB that they won comfortably by seven wickets on the back of a rollicking start from Sunil Narine (47) and Phil Salt (30). With a robust squad, they will be looking to carry forward the momentum into the upcoming clash against DC.

On the other hand, Delhi Capitals bounced back with the win in their last game after suffering two straight defeats in their initial two games. They appear to have found the form of their players, kick-starting their campaign of IPL 2024. David Warner and Rishabh Pant scored their half-centuries in the last game. With their recent triumph, Delhi Capitals will be eager to maintain their winning run.
