Alyssa Healy content with team’s performance in Bangladesh

Australia Women displayed their incredible prowess, securing a series sweep against Bangladesh Women in the recently-concluded three-match series. The three-match T20I series preceded three-match ODI series, in which also Australia claimed series win. 

The series win for Australia infused a sense of confidence into the team ahead of the upcoming T20I World Cup that will be played in Bangladesh. The series helped Australia acclimatise to the conditions in Bangladesh ahead of the T20I World Cup. After capping off Australia’s fruitful tour, skipper Alyssa Healy expressed optimism in team’s performance. T20I World Cup will be played between September and October. 

"I think we're adapting really well, which is what we speak about a lot, whether it's with bat or ball, we want to adapt to conditions really quickly," Healy said after the match.

"Everyone in the squad is taking something home that they can work on for when we come back here in September, so it's been hugely worthwhile for us.”

After spending a lot of time on the sidelines, Australian players Tayla Vlaeminck and Sophie Molineux made their successful return to action, shining with their performances. Sophie Molineux finished the tour positively, collecting (11) wickets from five matches. During the series, Australia experimented their players, reshuffling the squad in order to have a formidable one for the upcoming T20I World Cup. Australia will now be embarking on a much-needed break from cricket as their next assignment comes against New Zealand ahead of the T20I World Cup.
