IPL 2024, KKR vs RCB: KKR seek revival as RCB remain beleaguered

In the 36th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League, Kolkata Knight Riders will be squaring off against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Sunday at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. It’s been a horrible campaign for RCB so far, having lost five games on the trot. Their chances for the playoffs appear to be incredibly slim as they look forward to reviving their campaign.
It is going to be an intense battle between two teams seeking to revive their fortunes. Star-studded Royal Challengers Bengaluru have registered a rough patch this season in their campaign. RCB find themselves languishing at the bottom of the points table. With five consecutive defeats weighing heavily on their shoulders, RCB are under immense pressure to turn their fortunes around. Their middle-order hasn’t been promising enough to take the responsibility. Aside from Virat Kohli and Dinesh Karthik, no batter has shown the signs of taking onus.
On the other hand, Kolkata Knight Riders have had a mixed bag of results so far in the tournament. While they have shown flashes of brilliance, inconsistency has hampered their campaign. KKR suffered a setback in their last game after being beaten by Rajasthan Royals, highlighting the need for a resurgence as they aim to climb up the points table.
