Dasun Shanaka makes comeback in Sri Lanka’s T20I squad for Bangladesh series

Sri Lanka have named their 17‑member squad for the upcoming three‑match T20I series against Bangladesh, scheduled to begin on July 10 in Pallekele and conclude on July 16 in Colombo. Sri Lanka have recalled former captain Dasun Shanaka and allrounder Chamika Karunaratne to the T20 setup. Dasun Shanaka last featured for Sri Lanka in July 2024 against India.
Dunith Wellalage has also made his return to the side after being sidelined for the New Zealand T20Is. Chamika Karunaratne, who last played for Sri Lanka in a T20I in 2023, also makes his return to the side. Notably, Eshan Malinga has earned his maiden call-up to the Sri Lanka T20I side. He has already represented the side in six ODIs.
