IPL 2024 RR vs MI: Jaiswal slams hundred as RR cruise to their seventh win

Yashasvi Jaiswal fired an impressive 104 unbeaten off 60 deliveries as his team Rajasthan Royals recorded their seventh win, beating luckless Mumbai Indians by 9 wickets on Monday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur and capping off their home leg on a stunning note. Putting more pressure on MI, RR's Sandeep Sharma chipped in with his fifer, restricting MI to 179/9 in 20 overs.
Jaiswal’s blistering innings helped the side overhaul the target in 18.3 overs with nine wickets in hand. Before this knock, Jaiswal had been facing challenging times, losing his wickets for unimpressive scores.
Earlier, Mumbai Indians, deciding to bat, were slumped to 45/3 inside the powerplay, with Trent Boult and Sandeep Sharma dismissing Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav in quick succession. However, Mumbai Indians remained positive with Tilak Varma 65 and Nehal Wadhera 49 forging a 99-run partnership, anchoring the team to a great total.
Meanwhile, Nabi also contributed with 23 runs off 17. For RR, aside from Jaiswal, Buttler and Samson produced 35 and 38* respectively, carrying on with their rhythm.
