BAN vs ZIM 5th T20I: Zimbabwe look to avoid whitewash as they play for pride
As Bangladesh and Zimbabwe gear up to clash in the fifth and final T20I match, scheduled to be played on Sunday at Shere Bangla National Stadium, the stage is set for a thrilling showdown. However, the series so far has been largely one-sided, with Bangladesh asserting their dominance over struggling Zimbabwe.
Bangladesh find themselves in a commanding position, leading the five-match series 4-0. Their exceptional performance throughout the series has showcased their prowess in all departments of the game. In last four games, Bangladesh have left little room for Zimbabwe to make their dominance. This series is a big positive for Bangladesh ahead of the upcoming T20I World Cup 2024.
On the other hand, Zimbabwe's campaign in the series has been marred by inconsistencies registering defeats after defeat. They have struggled to string together collective performances to challenge Bangladesh, who have been absolutely incredible across all departments of the game. Going into the final game, Zimbabwe will play for pride and hope to cap off the series with a win. Most importantly, Zimbabwe would not want to be handed series whitewash.
