IPL 2024: Huge blow for RCB ahead of their must-win game against CSK
Facing the challenge head-on, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have kept themselves alive in the ongoing Indian Premier League. RCB have been on a five-match winning streak, with their playoff chances hanging by a thread. RCB’s next game, which is against Chennai Super Kings on Saturday at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, will be a must-win assignment for them.
But, ahead of the clash, RCB have lost two of their in-form players due to their national commitments. Will Jacks and Reece Topley have headed back to England to join England’s squad for the upcoming T20I series against Pakistan. Not only these two players, Rajasthan’s Jos Buttler will also not be available due to Pakistan series.
Punjab Kings’ Liam Livingstone has also returned to England to recover from a knee problem ahead of the T20I World Cup. However, Punjab Kings have already been eliminated. Ahead of the clash, RCB will look for formidable replacements to give a tough fight to CSK. Other England players to miss the remainder of IPL for their respective teams are Moeen Ali (CSK), Jonny Bairstow (PBKS), Sam Curran (PBKS) and Phil Salt (KKR).
