Afghanistan's Naveen-ul-Haq out of Asia Cup 2025
Afghanistan fast bowler Naveen-ul-Haq has been ruled out for the rest of the Asia Cup 2025, with Abdollah Ahmadzai being named as his replacement. Afghanistan Cricket Board has confirmed that Naveen-ul-Haq hasn't yet recovered from a shoulder injury, due to which he will miss the tournament in its entirety.
"Naveen will continue to undergo intensive treatment and rehabilitation until he is fully fit," the statement stated.
Naveen-ul-Haq, who has played 48 T20Is for Afghanistan, boasts an impressive bowling record, having 67 wickets at an average of 18.73 and an economy rate of 7.79. He possesses the best figures of 4/20. Talking about Afghanistan's campaign, they have got off to a winning start, beating Hong Kong in their opening match of the tournament.
