News

As the ongoing Indian Premier League approaches its final leg, Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings will be clashing in the 65th match on Wednesday at Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati. It is the clash that holds immense significance for Rajasthan Royals while it will bear no impact for Kings.

For Rajasthan Royals, this match is a make-or-break moment in their quest for a second spot, having been on the three-match losing streak. Delhi Capitals’ victory over Lucknow Super Giants on Tuesday sealed the spot for Rajasthan Royals in the playoffs, however, in order to secure the second spot in the IPL standings, RR need to thrash PBKS.

Concept is very clear for RR as they need to win their remaining two games to remain in top two. While, heading into this game, Rajasthan will not have the availability of Jos Buttler, who has returned to England due to national committments. But they have power hitters in Riyan Parag and Rovman Powell whom they will rely on hugely.

On the other side, Punjab Kings have faced a rollercoaster ride throughout this IPL season. With their playoff hopes already shattered, Punjab Kings will be playing for pride in this encounter. They have already been eliminated from the tournament as they only look forward to playing for satisfaction. They will be eager to salvage some dignity by ending their campaign on a high note.
