USA vs BAN 1st T20I: An opportunity for both teams to fine-tune their preparations ahead of T20I World Cup

As the preparations for the upcoming T20I World Cup 2024 heat up, all teams are in huddle to make most of what they are getting to play. Bangladesh are marking the beginning of their preparations for the upcoming T20I World Cup by taking on USA in the three-match T20I series, beginning Tuesday (21st May). 

The face-off between Bangladesh and USA will give the last-minute opportunity to both teams to prepare for World Cup. This encounter is not just a clash between two teams but a vital step in their preparations for the prestigious tournament.

Bangladesh will head into the series on the back of a huge triumph in their recently concluded five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe. Bangladesh had won the series against Zimbabwe 4-1, after they were beaten by Zimbabwe in the final T20I to record their consolation win. 

This series will help Bangladesh address any weakness ahead of the showpiece event in West Indies and USA. Bangladesh will use this series brilliantly to fine-tune their preparations.

On the other hand, for the USA, this series marks a significant milestone as it will give them experience ahead of the World Cup.  As a developing cricket team, this bilateral series will give them confidence and an invaluable experience. Monank Patel will be leading USA in the presence of other powerful players such as, Aaron Jones, Steven Taylor, Milind Kumar and Corey Anderson among others.
