Recording their third consecutive victory and booking their place into the Super Eights of the ongoing T20I World Cup 2024, India beat USA by seven wickets on Wednesday at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, New York. A massive half-century knock from Suryakumar Yadav and a four-wicket haul from Arshdeep Singh marked India's third straight win in the tournament, demonstrating their dominant form.

USA, inserted to bat, struggled to post a total of 110 after Indian bowlers remained up to the task in their bowling attack. Steven Taylor and Nitish Kumar were the top-scorer for USA, blazing 24 and 27 respectively to bring some respectability to USA’s innings. Arshdeep Singh was incredibly disciplined, leading India’s highly skilled bowling attack. Arshdeep chipped in with key wickets at crucial moments to prevent USA from putting on partnerships. Hardik Pandya and Axar Patel also returned with two and one wicket each.

Chasing 111 for victory, India suffered huge scare early on, with openers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma being removed for (0) and (3) respectively. Rishabh Pant scored 18 before losing his wicket as USA looked well established into the game. But, Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube led the recovery for India with their much-needed scores of (50*) and (31*) respectively to take India to victory with 10 balls to spare.
