Sourav Ganguly’s breathtaking remarks on Kohli’s poor form

Indian batting maestro Virat Kohli has found himself on the backfoot due to his lacklustre performances in the ongoing T20I World Cup. It has been hugely surprising the way batting legend has performed so far in the tournament. Kohli, who is known for his calm batting style and ability to turn games around, has failed to make an impact. His scores have been well below his usual standards, struggling to find his rhythm and make significant contributions to the team's total.

The dip in Kohli’s form has drawn reactions from former cricketers and cricket experts. India are preparing themselves for the final of the T20I World Cup 2024 against South Africa that will be held on Saturday at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. The spotlight will be on Virat Kohli to fire on all cylinders and make up for the lost opportunities. Meanwhile, former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly has said Virat Kohli is a once-in-a-generation talent and should not be questioned as he can also fail. Ganguly compared Kohli with legendary Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid

"Don't even talk bout Virat Kohli. He's a once in a lifetime player. Virat should continue to open. He just had a World Cup of 700 runs seven months ago. He is human. Sometimes, he will also fail, and you have to accept it,”  Ganguly was quoted as saying by PTI.

“People like Kohli, Tendulkar, Dravid, they are institutions for Indian cricket. Three-four matches don’t make them weaker players. Don’t rule him out in the final tomorrow,” Ganguly said.
