Jansen rested as South Africa name squad for West Indies tour

Star allrounder Marco Jansen has been rested as South Africa announced their squad for the two-match Test series against West Indies. South Africa will be touring West Indies for the Test series that will be played in August.

In their 16-player squad, a maiden Test call-up has been given to batter Matthew Breetzke, who showed his prodigious skills at the domestic level. 

Ryan Rickelton has also made his return to the team for the first time since march last year. He missed the series against India and New Zealand. South Africa will be led by Temba Bavuma. The series is part of the World Test Championship as first Test will be played between 7-11 August, and second Test will be held between 15-19 August. 

Squad: Temba Bavuma (captain), David Bedingham, Matthew Breetzke, Nandre Burger, Gerald Coetzee, Tony de Zorzi, Keshav Maharaj, Aiden Markram, Wiaan Mulder, Lungi Ngidi, Dane Paterson, Dane Piedt, Kagiso Rabada, Tristan Stubbs, Ryan Rickelton, Kyle Verreynne.
