India Women put themselves into the final of the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup tournament after romping to a 10-wicket victory over Bangladesh Women in the semi-final 1 on Friday at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Dambulla. Shafali Verma and Smriti Mandhana blazed (26*) and (55*) respectively, helping India chase down a modest total of (80) in only 11 overs.

India scored 83 runs as they successfully went past the total without losing any wicket. It was a dominant display of cricket by team India as they remained unbeaten while qualifying into the final of the tournament.

After winning the toss, Bangladesh opted to bat first but struggled against the disciplined Indian bowling attack led by Renuka Singh and Radha Yadav claiming three wickets apiece. Pooja Vastrakar and Deepti Sharma took one wicket each to cripple Bangladesh's formidable batting lineup.

In response, India Women made quick work of the modest target. They chased down 81 runs required in just 11 overs without losing a wicket, showcasing their batting prowess. The openers played patiently, ensuring a swift and comprehensive victory for India. This commanding win highlighted the strength and depth of the Indian women's team.
