Melbourne Renegades rope in big-hitter Tim Seifert

New Zealand’s power-hitter wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert has been signed by Melbourne Renegades on a two-year deal in the Big Bash League (BBL). Tim Seifert’s availability will undoubtedly strengthen Renegades' batting attack. Seifert will make himself fully available for Melbourne Renegades through the entire season. Seifert has huge T20 league experience, having played many leagues around the world. For New Zealand, he has played 61 T20Is.
"I'm thrilled to be here for the next two seasons, I'll be able to enjoy the environment and get to know the club on that deeper level which doesn't often happen in franchise cricket so I'm excited to call myself a Gade for the next couple of seasons at least," Seifert said.
Melbourne Renegades have already acquired the services of explosive batters, young gun Jake Fraser-McGurk and Josh Brown and the availability of Tim Seifert will form a strong top-order batting lineup.
"That top three spot would be outstanding and if Cam [White] feels like I'm the man to take the gloves I'll be ready for that too. At the same time, I'm ready to fit in and play whatever role Whitey and the Renegades need me to play,” he said.
