Pakistan down to eighth spot in ICC Test rankings

Pakistan’s shocking series defeat in the two-match Test series against Bangladesh recently has taken them down to the eighth position in the ICC Test rankings. Bangladesh successfully recorded thrilling victories in both first and second Test, creating history with their first-ever Test series win against Pakistan.
Pakistan went down by 10 wickets in the first game and they lost the second game by six wickets to suffer the crushing 0-2 series defeat. Ahead of the Bangladesh series, Pakistan were placed sixth in the rankings but back-to-back losses have taken them down to the eighth place.
On the other hand, Bangladesh have solidified themselves with the maiden series win against Pakistan. They are placed ninth and will tour India for their next assignment. This is the lowest ranking for Pakistan since 1965.
