ENG vs IND 5th Test Day 1: England decide to bowl in the decider

England on Thursday decided to bowl in the fifth and final Test match against India at The Oval. Ollie Pope is leading England, with Ben Stokes ruled out of the fifth Test because of a shoulder injury. Heading into the fifth Test, England made four changes, bringing in Gus Atkinson, Josh Tongue, Jacob Bethell and Jamie Overton. For India, there is no Jasprit Bumrah.
They have brought back Karun Nair to solidify their batting. And, Prasidh Krishna has been recalled to boost the pace attack. He will join Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj in leading India’s bowling attack. Dhruv Jurel has been included in the playing XI in place of Rishabh Pant, who is out of the final Test with a fracture. This match is very crucial for India to win in order to avoid series defeat and level the series 2-2. While, England would aim to get off to a strong start to put pressure on India.
