IRE-W vs ENG-W 3rd ODI: Distressed Ireland hope to salvage pride
England Women are gearing up to face Ireland Women in the third and final ODI match, to be held on Wednesday at Stormont. With England already leading the series 2-0, the upcoming match will be a chance for them to complete a series sweep against Ireland.
The series so far has been dominated by England Women, who have played brilliantly to overpower Ireland. The first ODI saw a comprehensive performance, with England securing a convincing four-wicket victory.
In the second ODI, England exhibited more dominance, winning it by 275 runs with Tammy Beaumont slamming 150 unbeaten to guide the side to a huge total of 320/8 in 50 overs. Ireland Women, on the other side, were bowled out for 45 in 16.5 overs.
Going into this match, for Ireland, the focus will be on learning from the mistakes in the past two games and beat England to finish the series on a positive note. Ireland will need their players to step up and deliver strong performance to challenge the dominant English side.
