Ireland and South Africa are set to face off in the first T20I of a two-match series on Friday at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. Both teams will be eager to make a strong start, knowing that the series only has two matches.

The Irish side has shown growth in their performance, yet they will face huge challenge against the proteas. They will look to leverage neutral conditions to their advantage to upset South Africa.

But, they also suffered a 1-2 series defeat against Afghanistan in the recently concluded three-match ODI series. Aiden Markram will lead South Africa with a number of big hitters in the side.
