Bangladesh have named their squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against India, with allrounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz being added to the squad. The series will begin on Sunday (October 6) with the first game at New Madhavrao Scindia Cricket Stadium in Gwalior. Mehidy Hasan played the last T20I for Bangladesh in July last year.

Parvez Hossain Emon and Rakibul Hasan have been recalled. One of the most experienced players Shakib Al Hasan was not included in the side due to his announcement that he was bowing out of Test and T20 international. Soumya Sarkar has also been left out despite having featured at the T20I World Cup 2024 earlier this year.

Mehidy Hasan Miraz will be expected to play a crucial role similar to Shakib Al Hasan in the latter's absence. The second and third T20Is will be held in New Delhi and Hyderabad on October 9 and 12 respectively.

Bangladesh squad: Najmul Hossain Shanto (C), Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Parvez Hossain Emon, Tawhid Hridoy, Mahmud Ullah, Litton Kumer Das, Jaker Ali Anik, Mehidy Hassan Miraz, Shak Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Mustafizur Rahman, Taskin Ahmed, Shoriful Islam, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Rakibul Hasan.
