The fourth day (Monday) of the ongoing second Test match between India and Bangladesh witnessed thrilling action after two days of frustrating rain delays. Bangladesh resumed their first innings at (107 for 3), hoping to accumulate a huge total. However, they struggled to build momentum and were ultimately bowled out for (233) runs, with Mominul Haque remaining unbeaten on (107).

Starting the day with their top order in a fragile position, Bangladesh failed to add enough runs to their total. Indian bowlers showcased their skill, with key performances by Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj and Akash Deep in the pace attack. R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja took two and one wicket respectively.

In response, India capitalised on their momentum and declared their first innings at (285 for 9). India started off brilliantly, with Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma firing (72) and (23) respectively. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli blazed (68) and (47) to guide India to a good total.

As day four progressed, Bangladesh began their second innings with the daunting task of giving India a solid fight. They ended the day at (26) for the loss of two wickets. With only one day remaining, Bangladesh will need a strong performance from their top order to set up a competitive chase.
