Dale Steyn exists SRH as their bowling coach ahead of IPL 2025

Former South African fast bowler Dale Steyn has decided to part ways with Sunrisers Hyderabad as he will not continue as their bowling coach for IPL 2025. Meanwhile, Dale Steyn, a vastly experienced cricketer, will continue to work with the franchise at the SA20. 

"A big thank you to Sunrisers Hyderabad for my few years with them as bowling coach at the IPL, unfortunately, I won't be returning for IPL 2025. However, I will continue to work with Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the SA20 here in South Africa. Two time winners here in SA20, let's try make it three in a row," Dale Steyn wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Dale Steyn, who was appointed Sunrisers Hyderabad’s bowling coach ahead of the IPL 2022, also withdrew last year due to personal reasons. In his absence, former New Zealand cricketer James Franklin filled in. At the IPL 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad made it to the final under the leadership of Pat Cummins, but lost to KKR in final.
