India have added allrounder Washington Sundar to their squad for the second and third Test matches against New Zealand. So far, Washington has played four Test matches for India since making his debut in the high-profile Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2021. “Mr Washington Sundar will link-up with the squad in Pune ahead of the second Test," BCCI stated in a release.

Sundar is representing Chennai in Ranji Trophy. On Sunday, New Zealand thrashed India by eight wickets to register their first Test victory in India since 1988. In four matches, Sundar has scored 265 runs and taken six wickets. The second Test match will begin on October 24 in Pune.
