Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has received big praise from Australia’s powerful batter Glenn Maxwell, who called him the best fast bowler across all formats. Maxwell also said that Bumrah is the best bowler he has ever faced. This year Bumrah has been phenomenally impactful, having led India’s fast bowling attack with great vigour in the Test series against England and South Africa.

He maintained the same intensity at T20I World Cup 2024 as well, which India won after beating South Africa in the final. His impressive showing has helped him dominate No.1 position in the ICC bowling rankings as well.

“I think the best bowler I would have faced would probably be Bumrah. I think he’s probably going to go down as the best all-format bowler of all time. His release point, because he releases it from so far out in front of himself, almost feels like he can change where he’s bowling right at the last moment. Maxwell said in a video shared by ESPNCricinfo.

“Unbelievable slow ball, great yorker, has the ability to swing it both ways; he’s got a brilliant wrist, and he’s got a good sniff. It feels like he’s got all the tricks of a really good fast bowler," he added.

At the T20I World Cup 2024, Bumrah emerged as the Player of the Tournament with the help of 15 wickets, which he claimed with remarkable accuracy.
