Bangladesh name squad for Afghanistan ODIs, Shanto to lead

Bangladesh have named their 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Afghanistan, with Najmul Hossain Shanto set to lead the side. Meanwhile, Bangladesh will be without the services of their stalwarts Shakib Al Hasan and Litton Das, who both will miss the series. 

Mehidy Hasan Miraz will be serving as deputy to Shanto. Bangladesh have also added 22-year-old uncapped fast bowler Nahid Rana to the squad. He has played five Test matches for Bangladesh so far. 

Moreover, they have included opener Zakir Hasan and left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed in the squad. Anamul Haque and Taijul Islam were left out of the squad. The first ODI will be played on November 6 at Sharjah Cricket Stadium.
