According to reports, Pakistan are mulling over the possibilities of approaching the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). Reports also suggest that Pakistan are obdurate in their decision to host the entire tournament in Pakistan. Meanwhile, former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria feels that what Pakistan will achieve by going to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

"If Pakistan go to the international court (CAS) what will they achieve out of it? There's always the uncertainty of security in Pakistan. International teams are coming but security concerns are much higher with the Indian team," Kaneria said according to IANS.

Kaneria also backed BCCI’s request for “hybrid model” which was applied during the Asia Cup 2023, where India played all of their matches in Sri Lanka. India’s refusal to travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy is a decision that is not just about cricket, but about security, political conficts.
