Rahul Dravid predicts big series for Kohli in Australia

Former Indian head coach Rahul Dravid has said that senior batter Virat Kohli could have a searing series in Australia in the ongoing five-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Kohli kicked off the series with a blazing century in the first Test, ending his century drought. For over a year, Kohli had been struggling to get runs but he successfully returned to form during the first Test match against Australia. Rahul talked about Kohli’s brilliance on difficult pitches in overseas conditions in the past, which can help him get more runs under his belt.
"He has been batting really well, even in South Africa months ago when we were there, I thought he was batting really well on a couple of difficult wickets. It is just nice for him to be able to get that hundred at the start of the series. I think he could have a big series,” Rahul said on Star Sports.
Meanwhile, Kohli had entered the Border-Gavaskar Trophy on the back of devastating figures as he had failed to score bigly in India’s three-match home Test series against New Zealand, which India lost 0-3. He just managed to rack up 93 runs across three games. But, against Australia, Kohli looked most composed, facing Australia’s formidable bowling attack with ease. As far as series against Australia is concerned, India won the first match to lead the five-match series 1-0.
