Bangladesh's star all-rounder, Shakib Al Hasan, has been suspended from bowling in all competitions organised by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). This decision follows the revelation that his bowling action was found illegal at independent testing at Loughborough University, as per reports.

On-field umpires had found deformity in Shakib's action during his solitary appearance for Surrey in the County Championship in September. The suspension officially came into effect on December 10. To come out of suspension, Shakib will need to get his action reassessed in order to ensure that his action is in accordance with the regulations, which state that his elbow extension must be below the 15-degree threshold.

Shakib delivered a stellar performance for Surrey County Cricket Club in September, picking up nine wickets in a match against Taunton.
