Daren Sammy set to take over as West Indies' all-format coach from April 2025
Daren Sammy is set to take over as West Indies' head coach across all formats next year in April, Cricket West Indies announced on Monday. Currently, Daren Sammy is the head coach of West Indies in T20Is and ODIs. He has been West Indies' white-ball coach since may last year.
He will take over from Andre Coley as the Test head coach. Under Sammy's leadership as white-ball coach, West Indies team has witnessed a significant transformation, registering victories in ODIs over Bangladesh and England.
Sammy, who himself led West Indies to two T20I World Cup title victories in 2012 and 2016, has made a big impact as head coach. So far, under Daren Sammy, West Indies have played 28 ODIs and 35 T20Is.
