England have revealed their playing XI for the first T20I match of the five-match series against India, which gets underway on Wednesday at Eden Gardens. Phil Salt will keep the wickets and open the innings for England alongside Ben Duckett. England have gone with a strong batting line-up with the likes of Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone and Phil Salt being added to the playing XI.

They all have been in blistering form and would aim to take on the Indian bowlers. England's bowling unit boasts the experienced names in Gus Atkinson, Jofra Archer, Adil Rashid, and Mark Wood. Skipper Jos Buttler will be batting at number three. Wood makes his return to action following a four-month absence, which occurred due to a stress reaction in his elbow. The series will also be the first white-ball assignment for head coach Brendon McCullum.
